146) Love Marriage vs. Arranged
One of my friends was wondering:
"It's funny when people discuss Love Marriage vs Arranged.
It's like asking someone, if suicide is better or being murdered!!"
Do you think so?!

I believe that commiting suicide(love marriage) is better than being murdered(arranged). At least you choose the way you die.
And in order to understand the difference, you have to understand this first. A part of a conversation between Sonja and Natacha in Woody Allen's movie,"Love and death"(1975):
Sonja: _ " Natasha ... to love is to suffer, to void suffering one must not love but then, one suffers from not loving, therefore… to love is to suffer … not to love is to suffer… to suffer is to suffer . To be happy is to love , to be happy then , is to suffer … but suffering makes one unhappy, therefore to be unhappy one must love … or love to suffer , or suffer from too much happiness …. although i dont believe in arranged marriages at all, they seem to work better.
when i thought about it, i realized that people who do it, they dont have any unrealistic expectations... they want a spouse, a parent for their children, someone to grow old with... without all the hopes, dreams and fantasies one always expects of love marriages, and is almost always disappointed.
That said, i'd rather hope, dream and seek love and then most probably get disappointed, than to just give up, and slip into a meaningless relationship...
I hate to admit that but you are right Yasmine....May be arranged marriage with a touch of mutual e3gab can work much better coz mind is control and not heart.
