837) Cairo Part-Timer !!

I am not gonna talk today about politics, love, relationships, life, or anything. This is one of the personal posts that I bother you with every now and then J

I finally took the decision that I have long waited for ; I am moving out of Cairo by the end of 2015 in-shaa-Allah. Before you say, that is still far away, I would like to tell you that it cant be sudden, and it has to be gradual in order to pull out slowly of the corporate business and establish another in the new destination, and handle how I will continue teaching at AUC as well, and do the Social work at Nahdet El Mahrousa. My Mission is the same, but I may need to change some strategies.

This will take at least 2 years to handle, but just taking the decision itself is a big relief. 

Although I loved Cairo a lot -when I was younger- that I have established a club in its name at AUC and other Egyptian and Foreign universities, but I really cant bare living there or being a full-timer in Cairo anymore. Cairo became a blood, mind, and soul sucking city with all its traffic, air, pollution, aggressiveness  and lost feeling of security. This is not only because of the aftermath of the revolution, I was actually thinking about it since 2006, but the revolution aftermath just came to push me to take the decision without regrets.

So what about Marriage? Ah, I won’t wait to get married and take the decision, that stage is over. I am where I am, and will be where I will be, and the woman who is gonna think about marrying me will know that from the beginning and it is her full choice to join me in such life or “enjoy” Cairo. In addition, I am more closer than ever now regarding not looking for an Egyptian wife with all my respect to Egyptian women.

The challenge is that I still have lots of ideas in development and corporate, that I cant still figure out how to handle while not always being in Cairo. I am sure that I will be able to handle it, specially that I wont completely move out, I will be a part timer being in Cairo 2 or 3 days every week or something of the sort.. The things I know for sure is that I don’t want Cairo to be my home anymore as I already don’t feel belonging there anymore.

Will I succeed in such new life challenge … I don’t know, but I know that I will do my best to take the challenge till the end J

735) What it takes for Career Breaks!

I wonder why do many employees in Egypt insist on joining or at least contracting for a new job before quitting their old job. I see the decision of quitting an old job has nothing to do with joining another one. It is like someone waiting to hook up with a new wife in order to divorce his old wife! 

If you cant take it anymore and can afford yourself for a while, why don't you get a career break to stop and see where are you heading and adjust your path to what serves your vision.

A career break is a period of time out from employment. Traditionally, this was for mothers to raise children, but it is now used for people taking time out of their career for personal development and/or professional development.

A career break is usually between one month and one year and is adopted by many employees in Europe and the US. Sometimes you stop to think, sometimes you stop to learn & explore, and sometimes you stop to rest... I think everyone should experience a career break every 5 years specially if he/she can financially afford it....What do you think about that?

since mid 60s till 2003, 4 million Egyptians are living abroad, and from 2003-2008, 7 million Egyptian are living abroad; ya3nee the Egyptians who left Egypt in the last 5 years is equal to the ones who left it since October 73 war!!

475) Fawazeer Ramadan : Released, Released Not!!

Aslaha kanet na2sa kidnapping!!! Begad Ramadan this year, ew2a el real mosalsalat: Love, Kill, Disasters, Kidnapping, tab eih, ana khayef keda men el Eid!

I was watching BBC in the morning and was VERY sad when the anchor said that this will definitely have a negative effect on Egyptian reputation in tourism and then tab3an karro all the previous terrorist attacks, tab mal el terrorist attacks we el crimial attacks?!!

El mosseeeeeeba that our Foriegn minister said in NewYork ON AIR that they were released although they are not! Fe eih feedha akbar men keda! Fazoura: Are they released or not, and if not, how the hell he had the guts to say it, it is not el dewe2a!!

P.S. El gahreeb geedan that at the same time there were kidnapped, I was so bored and open google earth, and surprisingly I left the whole world and explored the Big Gulf Area where they were kidnapped!!!!

451) Manage Your Vacation - Eps. 1- Why?!

Why should you have a vacation?

Many of us just take the vacation either for granted or by default, and this is one of the main reasons we do not enjoy it to the full or may be do not enjoy it aslan.

Vacations are like work, they have goals and things to do but different than work in nature and not the importance.

Vacations are taken for 3 main reasons that can contain sub-reasons as well:


1. To have a passive rest of doing nothing and discharge mind and body (i.e. Sleeping, eating, resting; i.e. Antakha)

2. To explore different worlds that the default or the routine you are used to (travelling, doing difference/crazy stuff, i.e Entelak)

3. To get out the energy (playing, gym, sports,...etc).

The problem comes when we take a vacation without knowing which of these reasons is the real reason for the vacation, even if a mix of the reasons. So it ends up doing something different and not feel the needed satisfaction, or even feel worse. E.g.: you travel and have fun while you need to rest, when you are back, you be happy about the fun and change, but will still be tired and want to rest in order to regain the strength needed for work, and vice-versa.

So when do what? that is our next episode in-shaa-Allah...

It is called the white desert and it lies in a country that has enormous resources and tools for the travel industry but really lacks the right management to make the best use of it. I guess you know the country by now..Don't you?

341) Back from Hajj!

I am back from the best trip I have ever been to in my life. I miss you all :)

I very much recommend Hajj to anyone who has the ability and still thinking about it. I am coming back as another much better person on all levels (except weight gain as we ate a lot, but working on it).

225) 50 degrees Cel. --- HELLO!

This is my first time in my adult life to experience a 50 degrees weather.
It is veryyyyyyyyyyy hot in qatar as if u r in a sauna!!

I am soo pissed off that I missed 7.7.07 in Egypt, and I missed my best friend's wedding (zezo) as well!

218) A new Stage!

Guys, starting tomorrow, I am starting a new phase in my business life where I stand on solid ground in the different stuff I do :) and since my business life is about 75% of my life, hence i decided to change my personal life as well and become closer to my friends..

This means that starting tomorrow I cant continue writing on daily basis like I did during the past 4 months. However, I promise not to write less than 20 posts per month; i.e average 2 posts every 3 days.
