622) Men Aglek Ant !

After watching the opening session of the NPD (el 7ezb el watani) annual conference and listening to Ahmed Ezz's speach. I realized that this year's slogan of the conference "men aglek ant" (just for you), really means: Men Aglek Ant ya Gamal!

459) The Forbidden Pizza !!

Couple of days ago an Arab friend asked me where to go eat in Zamalek after mid-night, I told him of course Maison Thomas it is 24/7 since it was opened. El Mohem he went there at 2:20 am and asked for the Menu, and surprizingly the waiter told them that they wont be able to serve the menu inside the restaurant, but they can take "to-go" or take-away as we say in Egypt. When my friend asked for the reason, they told him that there is a high profile official who moved to the neighborhood and hence for security reasons they cant have people in the restaurant after 2am till 7am!!!
Tab3an it didn't take much guessing from hime to know that this official is Mr.Gamal Mubarak. But the things I don't get till now:
1. How does my friend's Margareta affect the security of Gamal Mubarak?
2. Why is it safe for Gamal Mubarak to eat Pizza in-Thomas @12:30am and not @2:30am, what is the difference?
3. Is this applicable to all kind of pizza, ya3nee if my friend wanted SeaFood Pizza, would it have make any difference?

If someone knows the answers to my questions about the "POLITICAL PIZZA", please let me know!!!!!!!!

Ana go3t 3ala seeret el pizza, bas etsadet nefsee mesh 3aref leeh ;)

446) Mr. Omar Soliman !

Will Omar Soliman be the fifth president of Egypt when Mubarak term ends, or at least the vice-president after his powerful role in Regional political scene?

I don't know and I guess no one has the answer to that question (may by President Mubarak). I personally see some pros and cons:

Pros:
- The EIC (mokhabarat) is still one of the reputable and most respected entities in Egypt, and this directly is reflected on its Chief.
- The Military will be supporting because of his military background.
- Well known and respected in the Arab Region, Europe, & the US.
Cons:
- Too old to start a presidency (72 now, 75 when Mubarak term ends in 2011).
- I don't think there is an agenda for a breakthrough change to solve the current problems.
- He has been working with Mubarak regime for too long and never objected.

"Although many have voiced that these rumors are true due to many factors including power, respect amongst Arab leaders and Israel, neither Suleiman nor the National Democratic Party spoke of this or commented on any future political role for Suleiman." The Atlantic

323) Maho Ya Mohamed, Ya Gamal !

Hmm... I realized now why the only option we have is Gamal!
Since the "Revolution" in 1952, all the people who governed Egypt were either Gamal or Mohamed:

-MOHAMED Naguib 1953-1954
-GAMAL Abdel Nasser 1954-1970
-MOHAMED Anwar El Sadat 1970-1981
-MOHAMED Hosni Mubarak 1981 -

and since Mohamed has been dominating for the past 37 years, it is about time for Gamal.. and since there is no other Gamal in all the key positions in the country (People's Assembly, Shoura Council, the Prime Ministers, and Ministers, and even el the NDP), then Gamal Mubarak is the only choice we have 3ashan man2ta3sh 3ada :)

Shofo ezay el madou3 wala tawreeth wala 7aga...e7na bas neyetna we7sha ;)

163) Will Jimmy & Dija keep Zamalek the same?!

I have always loved Zamalek, and when I am depressed or wanna have some quality time alone, I rush to Zamalek even though it 17 kms away from home. Today, I was on facebook, and found this group about: ''Enjoy Zamalek before Gamal and Khadiga move there" and was really concerned about my beloved island from changing into another "kasr el kobba" zone.
Mohaly

I will share with you what they have written on facebook:

"Our prospective President is intending to move to zamalek with his 20 years younger wife Khadiga El Gammal which means that Zamalek would be a property of the royal family and it would be impossible for us (the peasents) to move freely in this neighbourhood."

123) Gamal Mubarak: "I dont wanna be the president"!

Did u see Gamal Mubarak's TV interview yesterday? He was almost swearing that he doesnt wanna be the president or even prim eminister, yet he has big political ambitions!

I am personally confused in understanding where does these ambitions lead to for someone in his position (2nd man in the ruling party)!

Jeddal about Jammal - Part II - Al Dostour supports Farahat

It seems that the daily doustour is supporting Y Farahat in her opinion against mine :( It seems she has connections!

I will be democratic and publish this public support for Farahat, and I suggest that she, and Bebo establish a new liberal party (not kidding) coz the liberal parties (wafd and ghad) aren't liberal anymore!

By the way there is a rumor that Gamal Mubarak will establish a new party called the "Future Party - Al Mostakbal", yasmine why don't you join?! wala you do all that coz you are jealous from Khadija who won your "dream guy"?!

A More Objective "Jeddal" about electing "Jammal"!

Would you vote for Gamal Mubarak if he runs for presidency?

Pros:
- Well educated.
- Exposed to the international community.
- Smart, and pro-development.
- Young (for a change).

Cons:
- Doesn't know the majority of Egyptians (like most of us the upper class guys).
- Weak Speaker (too rigid).
- Obliged to inherit a lot of cons and keep it.
- Will sell the country (aw eli fadel men el country).

Let me hear your opinion, and if any more pros and cons.
