183) Time Management: One Thing at a Time!

A reason that we don't get enough done in a day is that we try to do so much at one time. Focus on one thing at a time and keep doing it until you have got to where you want to get to.

181) Why? - Part II

Why did we stop looking at each others eyes while talking?
Why do we talk while watching TV, browsing the Net, reading paper?
Why do managers check their mails while talking to employees?
Why don't fathers and mothers give full attention and respect to their kids while talking?

Why?!

"Our prospective President is intending to move to zamalek with his 20 years younger wife Khadiga El Gammal which means that Zamalek would be a property of the royal family and it would be impossible for us (the peasents) to move freely in this neighbourhood."

If you read my profile, you will always read "someone who are trying to make a difference" and today I am sooo happy coz there are 2 people who were encouraged through my blog to push themselves to get their thoughts out and share it with us through their blogs...so all of us are enriched :)

1. Tamer Rizk: http://aquaragol.blogspot.com/
I am sure that this guy's blog will be an addition, actually a competition but in a positive way :)
Tarek Says: "I thought that I lack the creativity to keep on posting on daily basis, or even weekly until I met my new friend Mohaly who encouraged me to start my own blog (Lately he ran out of patience and started pushing me to start posting coz he wanted to remove the "under construction" sign that he put up on my blog).I started writing down ideas for the blog and was really surprised by the number of things that I'd like to share with my friends but never had the chance to do it before. Thanks Mohaly for the encouragement (and the push)."

2. Fatima :) http://fatifleure.blogspot.com/
This is when you are done with the lots of talk here, go to Fatima''s blog and have your sessert there :)
Fatima says: "Kolak 7ekam ya Mohaly and I am proud to be one of your friends."

155) Al-Ahly: Role Model in Management

The decision taken by Al-Ahly management to give the coach (CEO) & big players (senior managers) a passive break till June is extremely professional because of the following:

1. Succession Planning: They are giving the opportunity to subs and younger generation to participate in major experiences like Al-Zamalek and Isma3ely Matches. They are also giving a chance to the Trainer (Deputy) to show what he got, especially that they dont guarantee the coach for more than a year.

2. Calculated Risk: They are risking loosing the matches, but they did that after guaranteeing the tournament. So it is calculated Risk.

3. Team Motivation: I am sure that the subs, young players, and the trainer will do their best to come out with the best possible result even if defeated.

4. Recharging & Fresh Eye: For the next season, and having a fresh eye to see real strategic problems not only operational.

and after all that they are attacking the decision in the press....3agabi!!

154) Personal Planning: Before You start your plan...

You have to answer these questions first:

Where are you now?

How do you get there?
How do you measure progress.

151) Chirac - End of an Era

Today is the last day in the presidency of the last of great leaders in Europe and the World Jacques Chirac.

Here are some of his great quotes:

" If our language, our programs, our creations are not strongly present in the new media, the young generation of our country will be economically and culturally marginalized. "

" One can go to war alone, butyou can't build peace alone. "

" Terrorism takes us back to ages we thought were long gone if we allow it a free hand to corrupt democratic societies and destroy the basic rules of international life. "

" The construction of Europe is an art. It is the art of the possible. "

" When you are in the family... you have more rights than when you are asking to join and knocking on the door. "

" If we prove capable of showing a pioneering commitment, we shall create a commmunity listened to around the world. "

I do respect that man a lot. At least he is the only Egyptian who made it to the top 100 in the world!

Mohaly
.
That is what TIME has written about him:
.
Amr Khaled is not a household name in the West. But for a segment of the Islamic world, the 39-year-old Egyptian is a rock star.
.
At a time when conservative clerics have become primary arbiters of power, Khaled, a layman, has one of the Arab world's most popular websites; regular shows on Iqra, a Saudi-owned religious satellite channel; and an influence that prompts comparisons with everyone from Dr. Phil to Pat Robertson. But Khaled may be most like Rick Warren, who has built an empire around his "purpose driven life" philosophy.
.
Khaled's model, "life makers," encourages Muslims to implement action plans for transforming their lives and communities through Islam. It also urges them to get along peacefully with the West.
.
What really put Khaled on the world stage was his decision to host an interfaith conference in Copenhagen in March 2006, after the controversies over the Danish cartoons mocking the Prophet Muhammad. Muslim clerics criticized him for extending an olive branch to the Danes.
.
But Khaled didn't back down. An accountant by training who favors Hugo Boss shirts and designer suits, he maintains some traditional views—he believes women should wear headscarves, for example—but Khaled is a needed voice for moderation from within the Muslim world. "[Osama] bin Laden is saying he is talking on behalf of Muslims," he says. "Who asked him to talk on behalf of us? Nobody."

120) FUN: Heaven & Hell!

119) Sex. Orientaton Part III: Homosexuals and Marriage

In the post no. 111, Tamer Rizk has mentioned something that I think it deserves a 3rd part of this discussion.

The part I wanna shed light here is; If someone is like Tamer's friend (good looking, smart, rich, social intelligence, but gay and not happy about it), should he fight himself, and get married (specially if he is bisexual) and lead a normal life? or not even think about if for fear of failure?

I am seriously speaking, because if gays who are not accepting it have to continue as such + the gays who are happy about themselves + men who cant get married for any reason, then someday girls won't find enough guys to marry!! And this is only part of the problem.

The bigger part is, if the gay who refuses to be gay, and don't get married, will he lead a healthy life without reflecting all what is inside on the society.

I am asking again after being shocked that the number of gays according to official studies is about 10% of US & Europe and increasing! I don't know how much in Egypt but if it is 10% there it wont be 1% here, definitely more, and this is not a small number, we are talking about tens and hundred of thousands or even million!

So what is the answer to the marriage question?! I don't know, do u?

The first day, 1 min before the operation. Getting prepared in my room. In this cap & gown i felt like I am the physician not the patient!! The "E.R." mode just overwhelmed me, and I started asking in the surgery room about every single details; what does this do, why, how. Actually the doctor regretted that he decided to do it with a spinal atheistic coz they wished i would SHUT UP. I kept talking and asking even a 100ml shot of "mokhadarat"!

I literally had a PAIN IN THE ASS, so why not be one!!
