652) We Said, We Did, We Deserved !

We said ..

We did ...

We delivered ..

We deserved ..

I wish I can live and see the day Egypt will be doing that in everything not only football.

625) 7adeeth El Saba7 wal Masaa !!!

What will happen to Egypt if its national football team win 14/11 match and joins the world cup? It may be a problem in my vision, but I still can't see why it is sooooooooooooooooo important that we win this match, and why all this time, effort, energy (fights),..etc are being wasted?

check some links in just 1 website:

http://www.masrawy.com/News/Egypt/Sports/2009/november/4/algeria_egypt.aspx

I am definately cheering for Egypt, I even will allow my students to leave 30 mins early to watch the match, but I still can't see why is it as important as October war (as some papers have written)?! Does this mean if Algeria wins, it will be another Naksa that will take another 40 years to fix its consequences.

I am wondering that we have reached a stage where I wish that we take our work as seroius as we are dealing with football issues!

Mohaly

P.S. I have witnessed Egypt in World Cup 1990, and I wish that we win 3-0 and see the Egyptians happy, this doesn't happen a lot.

424) Arba3a Etneen Arba3a!

424, isn't that a tactic of playing soccer where 4 in defense, 2 middle-field and 4 offense/strikers? There is even a movie named arba3a etneen arba3a!

Talking about soccer, did any one see what happened in Malawy... they have beaten us in the last SECOND of the last minute of the game. We were almost that close to be sure to go to the world cup. Now we have to enter our favorite game of Praying instead of Playing!

384) Moh@lyics Weekly - Eps 9!

Egypt - Argentina: The weird thing is that when we started to master the field, we were beaten! anyway, it was a good match but we could have done better.

Arab Summit: Doest worth wasting my time and commenting!

6 April: I really hope that people can make a difference on April 6th and it won't be another strike that is just covered by the opposition newspapers then kol wa7ed yerawa7 beto. The great thing will be if we DON'T BUY ANYTHING on that day even food, gas,..etc. to make a point, but not going to work doesn't make sense, I think we should go to work but have any obvious sign of strike (like Japanese people do). Again the difference will be through not buying anything.

377) M.o.h.@.l.y.i.c.s Weekly! Esp. 7

Ahly & Zamalek:
I really cant see a better example of how management do have a great effect on the results than Ahly and Zamalek. El Ahly is not in its best form but is consistent in winning because of the stable and strategic management, while Zamalek is playing around the 5th place since the start of Dawry because of exactly the opposite. Bel Monasba, wa7ed yes2alnee, howa mawdou3 el 7adari ra7 feen, a2olo e2ra the next paragraph wenta tefham ;)

Kissing Kaman we Kaman:
It seems that this is the consistent policy of our government to keep us away of the real stuff that we should care about, after the KISS wala 7araj, now Mr.Gamal El Banna said that the 1st time in committing adultery is ok as long as it is not repeated!! Ana begad mesh 3aref a3mel eih, el7anee ya Titi!!!

AUC & Universities: I attended an event last week where 50% of the time the minister of higher eductation, and couple of university president were talking about AUC and how to be like AUC, what they need to know is that in order to see the Egyptian Universities like AUC they need ACTION not WORDS.

Speaking of AUC, I just joined this month the pool of AUC instructors for post-graduates degree. I am teaching "Strategic Management", so I am back to my beloved university :)

370) Ya bakht men kan el ra2es "............" !!

Why am I not surprized that El Hadary issue is ended by the president of the republic who definitely have the football players problems at the top of his important priorities! Thank God he could contain it, or else he would have to carry it over to the "Arab Summit" but he is not expected to go to the summit anyway!!

Read the following and see how everyone is just repeating what the president said. Mesh be3eed garayed el 7okoma te3mel mol7a2 makhsos lel7adary! kan 3ando 7a2 Amr Adib, el mawdou3 dah kheles men fo2 2awy! (repeated stuff in Italics)

P.S> ya salam law kan el 7adary 3amal zay hany ramzy & hanan tork fe "gawaz bekara gomhoori" we estaghal el forsa we 2al lel rayes 3ala kam 7aga ye7laha fe ghamdet 3een... mashakel el ghalaba in specific, at least taboor el 3esh & the new bottom line for the salaries.

368) M.o.h.@.l.y.i.c.s Weekly! (Eps. 4)

Gawaz bekarar gamaheery: Last week I was in an outing with some friends and their families, and suddenly I found ALL the subgroups gathering around 1 topic; my marriage! I am one of only 2 singles in the group and it seems that this annoys the married couples (men envy me, and women want to see all men married....), so they started talking and talking, talking, and talking...and every one is offering, and offering, specially that - as they say- you are 3arees kewayes we matetsabsh!! At this point I decieded to tell them that next time, I will come with 2 wives in-shaa-Allah, at this point all the women went shhhhhhhh, and all the men were sneakly smiling ;)

El Dameer El Arabi: Yanhar Nakad morakaz! heya na2sa, makefaya nasharat el akhbar! Begad I felt as if I watching the news accompanied by sound track! Anyway, if it was me, i would have just gathered all the stars, and said the main chorus word "Matat 2olob el Nas, Matat feena el Nakhwa, Yemken Neseena fe yom en el 3arab Ekhwa" in a 1 min message for the Arab leaders in the Arab summit!

Hadary 2: Hady ra7, Hadary geh, 7adary 3aleeh el 3awad. Feeh fel donya ghabaa aktar men keda! ya3nee 10 days ago he was one of the top people in the Egyptian football, now he will be punished by Ahly, and will have a problem in FIFA because running again but this time to Ahly. Tab kan lazmeto eih men el 2awel. Tab3an el press hatet7efna with another week of "3awdet El Hadary" after part 1 "Horob El Hadary", I just hope it ends here before it becomes another Die Hard or Rambo!

365) Moh@ly Weekly! - (Eps.3)

I would like to apologize for not publishing the episode last Thursday as I was stuck in a business trip with a stupid hotel that has no idea about Internet!

Hadary: I guess this is a real life example of the right man at the right place at the WRONG time. Hadary would have been blessed by everyone if he decided to resign and leave EL Ahly in a legal way and move to Europe, even if we like to see him in Ahly. But the way he left and the timing (while Egyptians were celebrating the achievement on the same day) was really unprofessional and will cost him at least 50% of his life-time achievement. Sometimes we don't weight all the options and see all the pros and cons. I will not be surprized if I found the Egyptians saluting Hadary again when he moves to a big club and make a difference, as the emotional nature of the Egyptians can swamp anything in its way. P.S. El Ahly as well has to be more flexible with allowing its players to play for European clubs.

Alexandria: I haven't been to Alex in 14 years, and I spent the last couple of days there. I envy you Alexandrians, it is like Europe in winter, clean and wide corniche, jogging in the morning, calms people, traffic jams are bearable...imagine that it took us 2 hours to reach Cairo, and 3 hours to reach home!!!!

364) Moh@ly Weekly! - (Eps. 2)

Magdy Mahana: I really cant describe how much I am sad to realize that I wont be reading to that great guy any more. He was one of the rare Egyptian intellectualls who understand and live the culture of accepting diffrences and positive conflict. Allah yer7amo, we yerzo2na another one like him.

National Team in UAE: It is really great to have the UAE celebrating and honoring our national team, but it is really a shame to have them honor the Team and celebrate before "as7ab el fara7" the Egyptians who were waiting for the team since the previous night at the airport.

Valentine's: I just wish all the SINGLES a happy valentine's day... for the couples, enjoy the blackmail of the gift, flowers shops, resturants, even baya3 el fol eli fel ishara ;)

363) Winning Kaman we Kaman!

What does our winning for the 2nd time in a row tell us?

It tells us that when there is strong leadership, clear mission, planned milestones & evaluation, quality time of training and development, and above all faith & team work, Egyptians win & it is very hard to stop them.... and when there is no vision, no plans, corruption (i before we), time wasting, and no team work, Egyptians lose everything & beating them is a piece of cake.

Football is not the issue, being Egyptians is!

362) M.O.H.@.L.Y Weekly! (Eps. 01)

* INTERNET::: The Internet problem in Egypt proved that technology is made to serve us and not the opposite. We didn’t die when there were no Internet as we thought. This doesn’t mean that I accept the vulnerable system, but means I am just against our great dependency on technology.

* HEALTH::: The severe pain I have been through this week, the 12 injections & 4700 laser shots I had, proved how weak our body is, a mild stone in the Kidney made me cry out of pain. Sobhan Allah & El Hamdullah that is almost over.

* GAZA::: I really wonder what does the Hamas want from Egypt!

* FOOTBALL JOY::: The Egyptian national football team became one of the only stuff in Egypt that makes people happy. Even if we didn’t make it to the final game tonight, we really tried hard, and we up to the expectations. Thank you (although I dont like football), and best of luck tonight.

*THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL::: The "Super Tuesday" wasn’t super wala 7aga. It just helped the Republicans to unite, and kept the Democrats (who were the primary target on this day) divided between the Bold Obama, and the Beautiful Hillary! & to another weekly... Mohaly ;)

297) Fawazeer Ramadan 17 - Ahly /\ Zamalek \/ !

17. Why is the Ahly always going upwards, while Zamalek going downwards although they have money, history, players, and gamaheer?!

P.S. Very easy fazoura and I said the solution before in a post about Ahly.

155) Al-Ahly: Role Model in Management

The decision taken by Al-Ahly management to give the coach (CEO) & big players (senior managers) a passive break till June is extremely professional because of the following:

1. Succession Planning: They are giving the opportunity to subs and younger generation to participate in major experiences like Al-Zamalek and Isma3ely Matches. They are also giving a chance to the Trainer (Deputy) to show what he got, especially that they dont guarantee the coach for more than a year.

2. Calculated Risk: They are risking loosing the matches, but they did that after guaranteeing the tournament. So it is calculated Risk.

3. Team Motivation: I am sure that the subs, young players, and the trainer will do their best to come out with the best possible result even if defeated.

4. Recharging & Fresh Eye: For the next season, and having a fresh eye to see real strategic problems not only operational.

and after all that they are attacking the decision in the press....3agabi!!

105) FUN:::Zamalek TV

Mohaly have written this before Barcelona match, I am publishing it anyway coz I think that Ahly is still the biggest club, but of the small clubs (Africa, Arab, ME).
Y.I.

After establishing Ahly TV, Zamalek thought of having one too!!

I hope to see Zamalek back in competition, but El Ahly wins bardo :)
