607) The Certainty about Virginity!
I find the way we handle the issue of virginity in our society a pure sort of hypocrisy and double standards. How come we are entering the 2nd decade of the 21st century, and a vast majority of us are still valuing and classifying women according to z-sometimes only according to- physical virginity?1. Either by going through all the steps the last step (you know what I mean).
2. Having an operation.
3. And now the latest Chinese -why am I not surprized- invention below!
So are we fooling ourselves or what?

300) The 300th Post: Supplication to Allah!
Allah does not expect perfection from us. What is expected of us is that when we make mistakes we move from the state of disobedience, return to Allah in repentance and seek refuge in the cover of mercy that He's provided for us. If we take too long and not seek refuge in the mercy of Allah and don't ask for forgiveness, our souls become used to the sins and even ruined by them.Wednesday, September 12, 2007

192) Watch out from getting Tanned!
According to the Weekly Spark many people assume that a tan protects them, when in fact a tan is actually a sign of skin damage. Tanning is the skin’s reaction to UV radiation from the sun or an artificial tanning bulb. When skin is exposed to UV rays, it tries to protect itself by producing a brown pigment called melanin, which darkens the cells of the outer layer of skin. Tanning is your skin’s imperfect defense mechanism against further damage, and darker tans cause the most permanent damage.
So did you like my new tan ;)

109) Vit Fit - Part I
- Before you even get out of bed in the morning, do 10 stomach crunches while lying flat on your mattress.
- Increase daily by one until you get up to 100.
- Think you'll never get there? Try it.
- You may eventually have to set your clock to wake up 15 minutes earlier, a small price to pay for a flatter stomach.

Happiness - Part II - Quality of Life
- Making time for yourself and self-care is worth doing, even when it requires changing a few things around, because it promotes good health and improves the quality of daily life.
- Quality of life is part of the recipe for happiness, but it is also an outcome of a lifestyle that incorporates a reasonable level of self-care.
- The lifestyle changes you make to improve your health should increase the quality of your daily life to the fullest extent possible. They should somehow make you feel good.
- Even people who say they "hate" exercise say they enjoy the way they feel after an exercise session...relaxed, invigorated and renewed.

My fellow 30ians - Part II: Body

By our fourth decade on planet earth, most of us have learnt some new words. We’ve learnt some stuff about interest rates, bond repayment and ante-nuptial contracts. Things have started to get serious. What with needing to get the kids to soccer and ballet, getting to the PTA meeting and catching the cricket score, you’ve missed your workout … again.
This is the stage of your life that the habits – good or bad – over the previous years of your life come home to roost. Look at your waistline, and those of your friends. What’s happened to yours in the last ten years? Ideally, your trouser size should stay more or less the same. More importantly, it shouldn’t be more than size 36. Any larger than that and your run a heightened risk of heart disease.

What to Balance in your life?
- Life Balance does not mean an equal balance.
- Trying to schedule an equal number of hours for each of our various work and personal activities is usually unrewarding and unrealistic.
- Life is and should be more fluid than that.
- Individual life balance will vary over time, the right balance for you today maybe different for you tomorrow. The right balance for you when you are single will be different when you marry, or if you have children; when you start a new career versus when you are nearing retirement.
Mental (mind)

Spiritual (soul)
