What does it mean that Obama after more than 100 days of thinking choose Egypt to address and reconnect the Muslim world?
Does this mean that the US see a potential in Egypt to rise and take its abdicated role again?
Does this mean that the US will ignore the authoritarian ruling issues that were the main point of conflict with the Bush admin.?
Does this mean that Egypt will be the bridge between the East and West?
Last and not least; does this mean that we will have June 4th as a vacation?! as having the US president in Cairo means 1 thing: COMPLETE PARALYSIS and it is better to stay home. Ya Rab make them decide to do it in Sharm :)

I thought that Obama had already addressed the Muslim world from Turkey last month.
After looking at what built up to this point in the Middle-East, my guess is that Obama will address extremism from Egypt.
No Mona, when he was in turkey he said that this is not the place he will address the islamic nations from.

President Obama will give a speech in Egypt on June 4 about America’s relations with the Muslim world. Why Egypt? I suspect many Americans think that Egypt is the largest Muslim country, but the White House and the State Department surely know that it’s not even in the top 5.
I think White House press secretary Robert Gibbs touched on the reason when he was asked “Why Egypt?” and he responded that Egypt “represents the heart of the Arab world, and I think [the trip will be] an opportunity for the President to address and discuss our relationship with the Muslim world.”
When it comes to politics, you have learn to read between the lines because politicians cannot just come out and tell you their real intentions out of political correctness.
Obama's is mainly concerned now about the Israeli/Palestinian situation: the two-state solution, the possibility of peaceful coexistence, and Iran's threat to Israeli State. My guess, here is that Obama will be using Egypt as an example of a country in the Middle-East that made peace with Israel that lasted for 30 years. He will acknowledge Sadat's efforts and Camp David peace treaty and he will invite the rest of the Middle-East to do the same. I am also guessing that he is going to say something subtle about Al-Azhar influence on the religious views that are floating around. And then address extremism, terrorism, and security threats to Egypt, the United States and Israel.
that is a very good analysis Mona, let's wait and see...
Just wanted to remind you that May 15th marks the 61st anniversary of the Nakba Day - day of the catastrophe - the annual day of commemoration for the Palestinian people, and the 61st anniversary of the creation of Israel.
Obama's Message In Egypt
By Dina Guirguis

The venue from which President Obama addresses Muslim communities is integral to the substance of his message. While the president and his team are to be commended for extending a hand of cooperation and understanding to the world's Muslims, Egypt's democrats cannot help being concerned over the decision to deliver the address from Egypt on June 4. Voices for a Democratic Egypt and supporters of democracy in general hope that Obama will choose a neutral venue within Egypt and make clear his support for the Egyptian people in their aspirations for basic rights and freedom.
