519) He goes, He comes, & the Country wins!

It is really amazing for our Arab and 3rd world nations to see a president who has been there for 8 years just leaves like that and delivers all the power he has to someone who has a completely different ideology and background, why? Because people said so.!!

Seeing Bush -with all his faults- that cooperative in this smooth transition, and how the tradition has got 5 American presidents in the same place (while we celebrate that we got 5 Arabs on the same table in summit lunch!), this tells you why Americans have to be proud with their liberty and democracy.

Americans don't have history or heritage as we do, but they have something much more precious; FREEDOM!

P.S>  I was sick at home all day on Tuesday and this was good as I have seen it all (5 hrs).

President Barack Obama began dismantling the Bush legacy Wednesday, using his first full day to overturn an order that let ex-presidents seal their papers forever.
----------------------------

With a short memo on Inauguration Day, President Obama blocked plans to loosen some air quality standards and to remove the gray wolf from the endangered species list. But he did not stop several other controversial, late-term environmental regulations issued by the Bush administration -- at least not yet.

The controversial Guantanamo Bay detention camp will be shutdown within a year, after the US President today ordered its closure.

Mr Obama is moving quickly to repudiate some of the most maligned war on terror programs introduced by his predecessor George Bush.

President Obama has also banned so-called harsh interrogation techniques and he's also ordered the CIA to shut down its secret overseas prisons.

The gap between the final opinion poll approval ratings for President Bush and the ratings for Mr Obama as he moved into the White House was the largest since Dwight Eisenhower took over from Harry Truman in 1953.

Ya gama3a, they re-run the oath just for one word that changed its position (and was the right meaning as well)!

Tab3an I don't think that Mubarak needs a rerun as has already done it half a dozen of times!

President Obama retook his oath of office Wednesday after Chief Justice John Roberts flubbed while delivering it at Tuesday's inauguration.

The second oath -- also administered by Roberts -- took place at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday in the White House's Map Room. Roberts asked Obama whether he was ready

You know the common say we have in Egypt: we would never have an "ex"president, it is always the "late" president!!

Frustrated, I am just curious about your profile name "Frustrated."
Is that how you feel all the time or that's just a cool name? I am just asking out of curiousity and I do care.

Mona,
First, thanks for your concern:)
Second, frustrated was the feeling I had when I started blogging. It was not because of a situation or something that happened to me, it was & it is the current era in my life!!I was always telling everyone that we can live here, survive & be good whatever obstacles we face, they used to say I am a very optimistic person. But the few last months were really tough (I am talking about my professional life), a lot of my concept had changed & still a lot are being changed!! thanks to the system. Whenever I intend to change my profile name, something emerges & here it is, the same!!
You can read my first few posts & you will know more, you see we are using MOHALY's blog!! Thanks again:)

Frustrated,
Thanks for sharing a part of you with us. I can only imagine what it feels like for you. But hey, I do encourage you to change your profile name first - as they say "When we change the way we look at things, the things we look at change."
Best.
