وأوضح البنك المركزي في بيان له اليوم أن كل ما يتردد بشأن إصدار عملات معدنية لفئات أكبر من الجنية المصري عار من الصحة، مشددا على أن مصلحة سك العملة ملتزمة بإصدار العملات المعدنية المتفق عليها وهي فئة الجنيه والخمسين قرشا وخمسة وعشرون قرشا والعشرة والخمسة قروش .
