526) Valentine's Week: The Love Dilemma!

I couldn't find better than this quote by Woody Allen to describe what I think about the love dilemma!

Mohaly

"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer.

To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down."

  2. Omar: it is the best comment that can be said here (nas 3'awya suffering) ;)

Mohaly: love is to suffer I agree, but did you hear about delicious pain (A7la 3azab) that 3abdel7alim talked about? This pain that everyone is longing to experience at least once in his lifetime.

  3. Eh ya Mohaly, I really don't understand why you take it so complicated like this!

If(LOVE)makes people suffer this way, fa makansh half of them already having love realtionships and most of the other part is seeking to start this relationship!

w asln why will you suffer when you are loving someone you have already chosen her and she is loving and appreciating your love to her.

Mohaly " Happiness is a decision. You can be happy in almost any situaution.” you are the one who will choose for yourself whether 2 b happy in this relationship or to suffer!

I may consider love "suffer" only in two cases:
    1) when I'm in a relationship with someone I don't love him back.
    2) when this love is ( one-sided love).

    Think twice Mohaly!

Yes, happiness is a decision, but suffering is built in, it comes with the package.

and here is the dilemma, we avoid the suffering but we seek it coz we want to feel that "a7la 3azab" Elham talked about. Isn't it complicated ya Noly already!!

    Saralona: 3amoura meen?!!

  11. The way I understand this quote is :we will suffer anyway, so why not suffer becoz we are in love.....

at least there will be a balance, sometimes we will be exceedingly happy and on other occassions we will suffer; else, meen yedman en el suffer without love would have something positive to balance it ?!

  13. 1st of all,,,i totally agree wiz such quote n i respect el hag woody's point of view :)!
but i just wanna add something realated 2 Happiness...
i blv that happiness is ur decision but only if u knw the real key 2 ur happiness cuz sometimes u want, plan & decide 2 be happy but actually ur internally not as it turns 2be z opposite!! That's why happiness or suffering is considered as part of our fate,,,or in ozer words ONLY GOD has chosen even be4 we came 2 life who will be happy,,who will suffer n who will have both?!!
