667) The Confusing Man .. RIP !

This man Sheikh Mohamed Tantawy - Allah yer7amo- was really confusing. Sometimes I felt that he represents the moderate view of Islam in a simple way, and some other times I felt that he is just one of the ministers or political figures, and just serving a certain agenda.

Sometimes it is hard to judge people, but time will reveal everything when it is due ...

May Allah Bless his soul, and send us someone who can lead the reputable Azhar to be back as it was .. The Enlightenment of Moderate Muslims.

Mohaly

P.S. A friend of mine asked me a very sneaky question; what if "someone" else died as well suddenly yesterday in his abroad trip? What would have happened?!!

  6. Well for me nothing seems confusing, I think that the greatest of evil is tyrany, and the Prophet said that the best deed is to say the truth to the face of a tyrant, how about saying only what pleases a tyrant? We also have hadiths talking about scholars who will be the first to go to hell because they knew and their knowledge will be against them. Political coruuption and dictatorship damages peoples life and everything else, it damages both religion and life on Earth, and anyone who helps this dictatorship is in my opinion straying away from God, I have no doubt about that.

  7. Welcome Shedou to the blog.. :)

What about 7osn el khatema as esraa said? it makes it more confusing!

  8. We know nothing about 7osn alkhatema! We didn't see how he was treated when his soul left his body! The problem is we look at very superficial things, like his being burried in al baqi3!!! that's nothing. By the way one of my granfathers was a sufi scholar and he used to tell people that Albaqi3 is not what we see, that some people are moved there after their death and others are moved out!!! But anyway thats mystic stuff, we don't judge by where he died but his actions. I would stay away from judging anyway EXCEPT for supporting political corruption and dictatorships because Islam should be all about JUSTICE! Whoever goes against justice takes the side of Satan, and in the Quran Allah always says that He doesn't guide the ZALEMEEN! Mubarak regime damaged the lives of millions and millions. He supported this injustice. I curse him for that. Period. I don't care about any other BS that we keep in our minds! Thats the same BS that tels Muslims that they have to obey their leaders even when they are oppressors, this was said by Sheikhs too! But the kind of sheikhs who belong to Hell.

  9. You know it makes more sense that it has nothing to do with where you are buried..

Did you mean "Salafi" sheikhs when u mentioned "we have to obey our leaders even if they are tyrants"?

    ReplyDelete
  10. shedou., aren't you judging when u say that you curse them?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes mostly salafi who pretend that people have to obey their leaders anyway regardless of how rightous they are.

Amina, may be ur right as far as the cursing thing. However i said i dont like to judge EXCEPT in the case of supporting dictatorships!!! Because they do the MOST damage to people and populations, including religion.

  12. Me too , am very confused , you think you know the heart of a person from outside but only Allah knows the intentions , so that's a clear message to just shut up and not judge. Period.

  14. Shedou..
So you think that opposing our leaders would have been the right thing to do?
I don't know about "tantawy"'s life or his actions but I can give you a better example.
Look at Amr Khaled, lets go back many years ago when he used to give his lectures here in Egypt and the authorities asked him to stop, you think it would have been better if he opposed them? what would have happened then? he would probably be arrested and then disappeared..
But he didn't oppose them, he agreed, and when he was asked to leave Egypt he agreed, and when he was asked not to enter Egypt he agreed, now look at the impact he made on millions of youth..
Sometimes you have to see the bigger picture that's all, maybe that's what tantawy did, yea he didn't stand up for what's right, yea he agreed with whatever the government said or did, but maybe he was seeing the bigger picture

  16. I thought that Shiekh Sayed Tantawy was keen on keeping the president satisfied, but I never imagined that it was to the extent that the president undergoes a serious operation, and Tantawy is the one to die !!
