احتل النادي الأهلي المركز الـ28 عالميا في التصنيف الشهري الذي يصدره الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم الفيفا, وذلك بعد نتائجه القوية خلال شهر سبتمبر, بعد أن كان يشغل المركز الـ32.. وأشار بيان الاتحاد الدولي أيضا إلي تراجع الزمالك في التصنيف الدولي إلي المركز الـ210 علي العالم .
